Donor of Wetlands Preserve land funding to the City of Corpus Christi, Hogan Homes, gifts new shade structure outlook.

Hogan Homes announced today the completion of a new shade structure outlook ready for visitors at the official grand opening of the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center.

The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center is located in the backyard of Terra Mar, a Hogan Homes master-planned community on the Southside of Corpus Christi.

Hogan Homes CEO, Nancy Summers, shares, “In 2007, when Hogan Homes purchased the land for the initial phase of Terra Mar, we donated $155,000 towards the purchase of the 160 acres that is now the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center.”

Summers continues, “Today, we are thrilled to announce the completion of a new shade structure that visitors can enjoy for years to come. The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve is a treasure not only for our Terra Mar homeowners but for the City as a whole.”

“We are excited to have such a valuable partner as Hogan Homes who appreciates maintaining the natural beauty and environment of our Oso Bay Wetlands area. Hogan’s generous donation, #OsoNiceShade, is a welcome addition to the park that will be used by countless visitors. We look forward to christening the structure at our grand opening June 10th,” confirms Stacie Talbert Anaya, Interim Director of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department.
